Technological wisdom allows for the mindful choice and application of technologies

Technological wisdom begins where mere tool proficiency ends. It is not enough to know how to use a specific AI model, programming language, or platform. It is important to understand when a technology is appropriate, what limitations it creates, and what consequences the chosen solution will lead to.

Such understanding is almost always interdisciplinary. A modern system can simultaneously touch upon programming, data, infrastructure, security, economics, and user behavior. Therefore, a person increasingly needs to see the connections between different areas, even if they are not a deep specialist in each of them.

A significant part of technological wisdom is formed as tacit knowledge. After making many real-world decisions, a person begins to recognize patterns, notice risks, and sense vulnerabilities before being able to fully formalize the reason. Such knowledge is difficult to measure with a test, but it manifests in the quality of choices and the ability to avoid repeating old mistakes.

Within the HVQ model, technological wisdom is particularly important because AI sharply increases the power available to humans. The stronger the tool, the costlier a poor choice can be. This wisdom is supported by creative potential and volitional autonomy, which compel the continuous updating of knowledge and the revision of habitual solutions.
